Not sure how I forgot to post this.
These are some frames from my entry for cgchannel.com "Star Ship Troopers" themed matte painting challenge from last July.
Background photo was supplied by the challenge moderator, Jonathan Berube.
The 3d dropship was started with an existing model then more detail and texture was added.
The bases on the ground were modeled by me based on photos of some of the actual models used in the film.

Knight Doodle V1
Noodling around in Photoshop for the first time in a while. I'd like to do a little more to this so there may be an update in the future if time permits.

Sorry for the hiatus. I've been nerding-out and building an Iron Man 2 "War Machine" costume. Now that Halloween past and the mad-rush to get the suit to a wearable level is out of the way I'll be posting some more art.
My wife got me an iPad and I'm learning some of the drawing/painting apps right now and they seem really fun so expect updates on that.

If anyone wants to know more about how I built the costume, I'm documenting the process over on the replica prop forum. --click the link!

LEGO Star Wars III - "CHARGE" TV Spot
This is a Lego Star Wars III commercial I got to work on.
Being that I am a HUGE Star Wars fan this has been one of my favorite projects. Thanks to Chris and Chad from The Core LA for hiring me for the job and David Luong for recommending me. Also, thanks to LucasArts for posting this on youtube!
BTW, looks better set to HD and full screen!
For this project I did the matte painting, projection mapping and environment modeling.

Here are a few photos I took while working on the project
.
I'll updated this post with some making-of and some screen shots ASAP.

GoPro Goofin 2010
This isn't exactly art related but I did take all the video and edit the footage so figured I would share
A small sample of the ridiculous amount of clips taken with the GoPro during 2010.
2011 resolution, get away from the gulf coast of Florida and get some better surfing vids. ;)

Renders in Use!!!

This is the actual image. This was done about 4 years ago but was one of my better images at the time.
Everything was modeled in 3d Studio Max with the exception of the shower unit, which was supplied by tthe client and made in Pro Engineer, sent to us and merged into 3d studio max using Npower translator.
I was most proud of the "Rain Glass". The client sent us a physical sample to use for reference and it took lots of experimenting to get my material to match perfectly. Unfortunately it appears they didn't use the detail shot on their packaging. Bummer!

There were actually a few more packages with my images on them. I'll update this post with them when I find my original versions.
